Paul Immanuel is an IBM Certified IT Architect with forty years of experience in industry. His experience includes every aspect of product research, design, development, support and service in the areas of telecommunications, data processing and computing. He worked primarily with IBM (Research Triangle Park, NC), ITT (Raleigh, NC), and Western Union Advanced Technology (Mahwah, NJ). Additionally, he held engineering positions with GTE (Durham, NC) and Milliken Electronics (Greer, SC).
Paul’s twenty-five year career with IBM included acting as the lead developer of a high bandwidth management system, which supported combinations of high speed interfaces and voice/data protocols. He served on the IBM Patent Review Board, IBM University Relations Board, and numerous Architecture boards including Systems Network Architecture (SNA), Advanced Peer-to-Peer Networking (APPN), and IBM Global Service Integrated Delivery Architecture Board. Paul owns several patents in the areas of networking link level security, multicast transmission, and host recovery systems. His career at IBM included positions in Networking Hardware, Microelectronics, Software, and Services Divisions. He served as technical assistant to an IBM Fellow. His responsibilities included directing vendor negotiations and cross-divisional technical discussions. Paul was the chief technical negotiator between the IBM Raleigh Lab and the IBM Lab in France on the Nways 2200 development.
